Here is the house With part of my existing temporary antenna system. To the left extending out the top of the picture is a dual band base station antenna. Extending from that mast is the temperature sensor and radiation shield for my WX station. The "Copper Cactus" J-pole is for the APRS station. The 90° bend PVC is the conduit leading to the shack. |

Discone on the right is for my PCR-1000 scanner. On the ground and up against the deck are pieces and parts for my GAP Challenger vertical 2M-80M antenna and a tri-band beam. |

This block of concrete is 30" on each side. The edges are about 9" deep and the 3+ inches around the post are nearly 2' deep. It took eleven 80# bags of crack resistant Quickcrete. There is 5' of post buried in the ground and concrete and about 6' above the concrete. This post will support a 40'+ tilt over, crank up tower I purchased from Wendel Cook, W4AKM. |

When it comes to driving ground rods the last couple of feet into the ground, this is the tool to use.
